Shannon Murphy enjoys expressing her inner world with the outer world through the medium of clay. She connects the energetic realm with the material realm through her body shaping clay, adding imagery along the way with the synergy of the chemistry of glazes and the magic of the kiln to produce this work. She was a production potter for years under the name Shannon Wong Pottery and stocked many shops in Maine and the surrounding areas. She has transitioned to creating one of a kind pieces that nourish her creative spirit.

She is inspired by the human experience, her passionate connection with nature, and the need to express beyond words the energies and thoughts that fill her own vessel.

When she’s not creating ceramic magic, she practices as a Certified Rolfer/Integrative Bodyworker through Wise River Rolfing. She lives in Portland, ME with her partner, rescue pup Fiadh, three cats and a growing collection of plants including a fruiting peach tree named Madison.
